Queer|Art is launching a bold, long-term effort to sustain our work and protect the artists we serve. The Futures Fund is a five-year, million-dollar campaign to build a foundation of reliable support for our community. We are seeking to secure $200,000 in new annual support from individual donors who each make a commitment to contribute annually for five years.
The Futures Fund is a direct investment in the future of queer cultural production, shielded from the volatility of institutional trends and political shifts. It was founded in response to the increasing threats queer artists face today, including federal censorship and cultural backlash that continue to dismantle the funding systems our artists rely on. Over the last three years, Queer|Art has lost $200,000 in annual support from corporate donors and government agencies, forcing us to fight for our survival.
The Futures Fund will help Queer|Art move boldly into its next chapter: strengthening the artist-led, peer-driven model that sets us apart. Your support will fund what makes artistic growth possible, through direct financial support for queer and trans artists, and by investing in mentorship, community building, professional development opportunities, and the often invisible labor that sustains long-term creative relationships.
At a time when queer and trans expression is under attack, this is your way to fight back—by joining a community that is choosing to invest in the artists shaping our future.
