Armando Alleyne graduated from city college of New York in 1983, with a bachelor's of fine arts. He had a period of time where he was lost, and was homeless. And then got back on his feet in the 90s. Regardless of what occurred, he feels strongly that jazz blues musicians are important to life and culture, and he always exemplifies and tries to show them through his collage painting using acrylic paint. Examples such as Willie Colon or Celia Cruz or Miles Davis become his pupils for his portraits. In twenty twenty two, he published A Few of My Favorites, a monograph of his artwork, stretching from the 90s through 2022. Basically, he feels he's gonna continue to exemplify jazz , blues musicians and salsa artists as well as Gay subject matter.
