Dana Robinson is a Brooklyn-based artist, unearthing relics of the Black American Dream, and suspending them in moments of joy, power, and potential. Born in 1990, Robinson has exhibited at institutions including the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art, Texas State University and Maryland Institute College of Art, alongside local and international galleries including A.I.R. Gallery, New York, Sanji Gallery, Seoul and Ivester Contemporary, Austin where she presented a solo show in 2025. Her practice extends into public commissions, including projects with the Empire State Building, ArtBridge in Bushwick and 92nd Street Y. Fellowships and residencies have been granted by A.I.R. Gallery, the International Studio & Curatorial Program (ISCP), and most recently, at The Flower Shop in Brownsville, Texas. She has received grants from several prestigious bodies including the Puffin Foundation and the New York Council on the Arts. In May 2026 she will join Kates-Ferri Projects to present a selection of works at the 1-54 Contemporary African Art Fair in New York.
