Poly Sessions
As part of development for a play and web series about nonmonogamy called Polylogues, writer/performer and 2018-19 Queer|Art Fellow Xandra Nur Clark is inviting nonmonogamous couples, triads, quads, etc., to sign up to have a recorded conversation with her. 

Polylogues shares the words and experiences of real people in as truthful, celebratory, and unguarded a way as possible. All interviewees can be anonymous, so it is truly an opportunity to have an honest, frank discussion about how polyamory has played a role in your lives and how it could shape the lives of those curious to try it—both positively and negatively.

The World Premiere Production of Polylogues (the play) will go up April-May 2020 at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, produced by Colt Coeur. To read more about the project, visit www.polyloguesplay.com.

Currently, the dates for interviews at The Center are:

  • Saturday, November 9, from 10am-4pm;

  • Saturday, November 16, from 10am-4pm.

Please use this Google form to tell us more about yourself/your group and to submit a request for a 90-minute interview slot, and we will follow up with you.

Here are some folks we are especially looking to interview (but we are open to anyone!):

  • A triad that has been together for a significant period of time.

  • A gay or lesbian triad or quad.

  • Individuals or partners age 60+ who have been in a polyamorous relationship for a significant period of time.

  • Individuals or partners age 80+ who have been in nonmonogamous relationships.

  • Polyamorous partners who have been together for 10+ years.

  • Partners who were polyamorous and are still together but are no longer polyamorous.

This event is part of the 2018-2019 Queer|Art|Mentorship Annual, curated by current Fellow Jeanne Vaccaro and titled “How do we know what we need you to know: Intimate access and collective care.” The exhibition will present across multiple formats and locations (including The LGBT Community Center, Bureau of General Services – Queer Division, Movement Research, and La MaMa E.T.C.) new work by the graduating Fellows of the 2018-2019 Queer|Art|Mentorship program: J.
